Created by Sheila Man, Bi Design House began as a family home before opening its doors to guests. This intimate boutique stay in Canggu has just five individually designed rooms, each filled with original artwork, sculptural furniture and carefully collected pieces. Natural materials and unexpected details give the interiors a personal, lived-in feel, reflecting Sheila’s love of design and her desire to create a home that could be shared with others.

Set among the rice fields of Babakan, the house offers a quieter side of Canggu, with an incredibly friendly team who make guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. And then there’s Sugar, Bi Design House’s resident cat, who has made herself right at home as its official host. With leisurely breakfasts, creative workshops, yoga and meditation, there are plenty of ways to spend time here, whether gathering with others or simply unwinding by the pool. It’s a small, characterful place where thoughtful design meets the warmth of a private home.
